S2T Foundation is being formed as an independent public-benefit organization. The plan: put useful technology, including today's AI tools, within reach of people who do not have it, and teach them to use it with confidence, in plain language and on real tasks.

The mission

Widen the circle without lowering the standard.

A tool becomes useful when a person also gets the context to understand it and the confidence to make it their own. Our programs are meant to deliver the tool, the context, and the confidence together: start from a real need, and end with the person more independent than when they began.

From first access to lasting independence.

Four steps we intend every program to follow.

    Open the door

    Remove the practical barriers: a device, a connection, an account, a cost, or simply not knowing where to start.

  2. 02

    Teach the context

    Explain the system in plain language, around a task the person already cares about.

  3. 03

    Practice with support

    Give people a safe place to try, question, and build confidence by doing, with a mentor nearby.

  4. 04

    Carry it forward

    Publish the methods and lessons under open licenses, so the learning outlives the program.

These are the first program ideas. Each will be tested as a small pilot with partners before it is called a program.

    Make selected software available at no cost where price is the barrier, under open licenses and with no payment gate.

    Practical digital fluency

    Plain-language sessions on everyday technology and today's AI assistants: what they can do, what they get wrong, and how to use them responsibly for real tasks.

    Workshops built from context

    Sessions designed with a community partner around that community's needs, not around a technology pitch.

    Guides, lesson plans, and worked examples published under open licenses so other educators can reuse them.

Learning with today's tools

AI assistants, explained plainly.

Not everyone has had a fair chance to learn today's AI assistants. We intend our learning programs to help: hands-on practice with current tools on real tasks, honest teaching about what they get wrong, and attention to privacy and safe use. These programs are in design and will be piloted with partners first.

    Participants will use current AI assistants on their own real tasks, not on demos.

  • Honest

    Sessions will cover what these tools get wrong, how to check their output, and when not to use them.

  • Safe

    Privacy, consent, and responsible use will be part of every session, not an afterthought.

S2T Foundation is being formed as an independently governed public-benefit organization. Its programs, governance, and operating model are being developed deliberately.

Organizational formation and federal tax-exempt recognition are not complete. This site does not solicit charitable contributions and does not represent that any payment is tax-deductible.

Experience from consulting and product work informs the mission. It does not govern it. The Foundation is not owned by the companies below and is not a sales channel for them.
